Annual Reports

All External Examiners are required to provide a written Annual Report, which is a key feature of the University's Continuous Monitoring & Enhancement process in assuring national comparability of the University's awards and in quality assurance and enhancement. External Examiners are required to submit only one report that covers all Awards/Modules Assessment and Reassessment Boards. Reports for undergraduate provision should be submitted by 30 September and reports for postgraduate provision by 30 November each year. More information on annual reporting can be found in the External Examiner Handbook, Section 9.

If you are an External Examiner for a TU or TU Collaborative Partner taught course, a TU School administrator will supply you with a link (via email) to the online Annual Report template together with a list of modules/ courses allocated to you, prior to you attending an assessment board.  If you are an External Examiner for a Validated UK College Partner the administrator from the College will supply you with the template report (Word version) which should be completed and returned to APR@tees.ac.uk. Part One (A) should be completed by the School or Validated Partner College before it is dispatched to you. If you are an Advanced Independent Work Examiner, the School Administrator will supply you with an AIWEE Annual Report template (Word version) which should be completed and submitted to APR@tees.ac.uk after the examination. If you have not received the link to your annual report template or Word template, please contact either the TU School or Validated Partner contact in the first instance before contacting Student Learning & Academic Registry.
