Installation Instructions
To download the latest version of SPSS for PC/MAC including the License code please follow the Self Support links at the bottom of this page.
The download for SPSS will extract to c:\temp and from there you will be able to run the installation program. Also, please ensure you have the license key download to your desktop.
How long can I use my personal copy of SPSS?
The educational licence means that you are only permitted to use your personal copy of SPSS for the duration of your course & for course related purposes. Once you have left the University you are no longer legally permitted to use the software.
Can I use SPSS to analyse statistical data whilst on my work placement?
No. Only for work directly relating to your course. SPSS cannot be used for commercial purposes, including any work for an employer whilst on placement within the educational site licence agreement.
Can I copy SPSS for a friend?
No. The educational site licence states that copies of the software cannot be made. The software is freely available on all student PCs located in the LRC and in some labs across campus.
Can I sell my copy of SPSS once I have finished my course / left University?
No. Any copies of SPSS purchased from the University should be returned or destroyed once you have finished your course / left the University.
