It's vitally important that you look after your University electronic data. Always keep your files safe by storing them on your University U:/ drive (often called homespace). There's a small guide to using your homespace here. Files stored on your U:/ Drive are backed up, and scanned for viruses. If you store them on your desktop computer, you run the risk of losing them. If you run out of space on your U:/ drive, contact the service desk about increasing your space, or cleaning up what you already have.
Before you take any University data with you, please check the guidance in the University Information Security policy and make sure that you give it the protection that that it needs. This is your responsibility!
